Meet Jo
Miami native Jo Martinez's wellness and movement background began with bodywork, as she discovered an admiration for the healing arts at an early age. Now well versed and trained in both Western and Eastern modalities such as Myofascial release, Lomi Lomi, and Thai Yoga Massage. Her approach focused on blending these disciplines into a signature style. Upon moving to New York City, Jo found a passion in movement through Pilates. The strong mind and body connection in the method is what inspired her to train and eventually pursue a path as an instructor. The blending of disciplines also translates into her Pilates practice. Jo’s experience ranges from top ranked luxury holistic fitness to boutique studios, group and private training throughout the Brooklyn and Manhattan boroughs. Adept at working with a versatile clientele, she can count among her clients NYC mothers and grandmothers, CEO’s, celebrities, aspiring and accomplished athletes, dancers and movers.
